1.15.18: Entering my third week into this journey & guess what happened to your girl… The power went out. Not only did it go out, but it stayed out… for almost 24 hours. My home is ALL Electric. Someone is really playing with me right now. Considering that the temperature outside was 18, the temperature inside dropped to 51 by the time it was all said & done.

So what do you do with your healthy eats & at home workout plan when the battery on all of your devices is dead & your house is all electric, which means no power = no oven?

You fall off the wagon, throw the entire healthy eats plan in the trash & binge on junk food until the power comes back on. Naw, just kidding! LOL!

Seriously though, that’s what I wanted to do in the beginning, but instead I opted for fruit & a Vi meal replacement shake for breakfast. Then I went to Dunkin Donuts for a cup of coffee & to work in a heated environment for a couple of hours. When lunch time rolled around I found myself at Chipotle (I know it wasn’t the best choice, but….). You’ll be glad to know that everything that I piled on top of my salad was on the approved foods list. Well, maybe not the delicious vinaigrette dressing, but everything else was so there! My next meal was another shake & a piece of fruit. By the time dinner rolled around, the power was back on so it was back to the regularly scheduled program.

I know you’re probably wondering how my weigh in was for the week. Well here it is…. 12.6 pounds lost in 2 weeks. I’m so happy! Now to lose 1.1 more pounds so that I can be in Onederland. I know it’s about to be the struggle of  my life to lose this last pound, but I’m up for the challenge. I’m getting excited just thinking about it. Almost there….

After today’s crazy, let me end this post with a confession… The power came back on very close to daycare pickup time so I only had enough time to get in 2 rounds of #RI28 for the day, but with everything that had happened I figured that something was better than nothing.

1.16.18: Started my Ideal Shape meal replacement shakes taste test today. The flavor I chose for my morning shake was nasty. It left a metallic taste in my mouth, but the after one… YUMMY! It was absolutely delicious. I had my doubts initially, but it looks like they may be getting a new customer after all. Check out my Ideal Shape review to get all the scoop. See you soon.

1.17.18: Ok y’all… I’m starting to hit that stretch where my body is saying it’s tired. For the last two days I’ve had to positively self-talk my way through these #RI28 workouts. Truth be told, I probably wouldn’t have made it through today’s workout if there wasn’t a scheduled rest day for tomorrow. Throughout the entire workout I kept repeating to myself “push today, rest tomorrow.” Whew! I’m so glad it’s over with. Hopefully I’ll get some extra rest during my rest day tomorrow so that my body can be restored before Friday’s workout. Good Night FIT Slayers! Talk soon

1.19.18: I woke up early this AM to get my workout in before work & guess what happened… The scale started calling my name. I tried to ignore it, but it got me y’all. Hoping that I would finally enter Onederland, I crossed my fingers, took a deep breath & stepped on the scale. It’s digital so the numbers bounced around for a few seconds & then the unbelievable happened…


What the hell! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Instead of reading 199.anything, it read 202.6. I had gained almost two pounds. OMG!!!! I HATE THE SCALE! I HATE THIS WHOLE WEIGHT LOSS THING! I HATE IT! I HATE IT! I HATE IT!

Stepping off of my soapbox in 5… 4… 3… 2…

Ok y’all. I’m back. Thanks for letting me vent my frustrations real quick. The struggle is so real y’all. Those skinny girls that only have 10 pounds to lose will never understand how it feels to be so close to one of your goals & then see it move further away. It’s the most frustrating thing EVER!

Usually this is where I would say f*** it & go grab a Snicker, but not this time. I’m not giving in. This is seriously the fight of my life. I have 3 more days until my official weigh-in & I’m going to fight it out. I will see 199.anything on Monday. Wish me luck!

1.21.18: One thing that I’m committed to doing this year is eliminating the haters from my life. This morning I learned who my #1 hater is… THE SCALE! I know that I’m only supposed to weigh once a week, but my accountability partner sent me a text to say that she’s lost 6 pounds. Of course I wanted to see my progress so I once again stepped on there a day early & what did I see… 200.0. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Seriously y’all, 200 pounds exactly. That’s insane! I tried doing a few jumping jacks. Stepped back on & it said 200.2. That’s it! My husband should have never brought this stupid scale back upstairs anyways. This hater is definitely getting out of my life. It’s going back to the laundry room downstairs where I originally had it & I’m going to try my hardest to get the place where I only weigh-in twice a month – the first day and the last day. Otherwise, it’s Bye-Bye Hater!
